Does anyone know what either of the two following blanks weigh?
IMX MB844 GL3 MB844 I found a weight for the GL3 at CTS's website, but I worried that the listed weight may be dated--it appears the blank dimensions may have changed slightly. Thanks, Adam Stewart Re: Loomis blank weights

I haven't seen any published IMX weights since they went to the glass scrim which made them a little heavier quite a while ago. There are a lot nicer blanks from the sponsors to the left that still use graphite scrim and are lighter. Re: Loomis blank weights

I'm confused on how you found a Loomis blank weight on CTS' website. I don't even see the weight of their own blanks on their website.
If the lightest weight blank is what you're looking for, CTS is it. Re: Loomis blank weights

Todd,
Spencer was refering to Custom Tackle Supply (CTS) in Tennessee, not the New Zealand company in which you are refering to. I can see how this could confuse some people. I hope that this clears it up. As far as the blanks are concerned, I too would go with the CTS!! Great blanks and the people with whom you will deal with (Andy) are TOP NOTCH Tom Kaufmann GySgt USMC Re: Loomis blank weights

In the new Mudhole Catalog most of the blanks have weights included in table listings - no weights listed for Gloomis.
On weights - if you look at Graphite USA they list three types of blanks - 1. dual helix - 2. dual helix with glass scrim & 3. non helix multi modulus glass scrim. Here is the real confushing part. Find a blank in a classification for action, length, power, lure wt which are all equal and the weights of the blanks are almost identical. The primary difference is the price and all are advertised as superior. What is a builder supposed to do when this information is in the hands of a potential customer. Getting pretty complicated. I was referring to Custom Tackle Supply...sorry for the confusion.
I noted the similarities among the various Hastings blanks, too, and wondered if it was a typo in the Mudhole catalogue? I suppose we could look at Hasting's site and find out. Adam Stewart Re: Loomis blank weights
