Hello all.
I am looking for a reasonably priced spinning rod blank, 6-12 pound test range with a fast action blank, 6"6-7 in length for river smallmouth. In a perfect world it would light weight with a sensitve tip. Any suggestions on where to stard looking?
thanks.
Tom.

Ditto on the Rainshadow ISB822.5 Just built 2 drop-shot rods on that blank Used 10 TIC guides (per customer wants) and a split burl grip. You will enjoy that blank.

You'll have to be a little more specific as to what you baits you fish the most, but just guessing, I'd suggest the following:

3C69MLXF--fantastic for drop-shot and small jighead worms/texas rigged worms, tubes.
3S66MF--good all-around rod for a number of applications, including worms, jigs, spinners, tubes, etc..
3C66MM--fantastic light spinnerbait/crankbait rod. Don't expect to be able to set any worm hooks with this one--bends way into the butt.

The second two models can be bought in 7' versions also (I think).

Look at the Batson IP 840 or 841. They are my favorite. Best blank for the money. If you want a picture to prove it let me know. I caught a 4lb 10 oz LM my first cast with an IP 840.
