Batson Does it Again

I just got off the phone with Bill Batson, and felt the need to pass this on. After quoteing and selling 2 drop shot rods to a cusomer I ordered the componants and blanks. When I receive the invoice I found what I thought was a mistake. The guide prices were double what they were in the cataloge. Come to find out it was a missprint. Page 28, LTCVSCG's Needless to say that put a real hurt on my profit. I contacted Batson and the person on the phone put me in contact with Bill. After a very nice conversation, and me getting the prices writen down right, Bill offered to make it right. Bill is sending me a set of guides(LTCVSCG's) and a reel seat for another blank I have. That is what I consider wonderful customer service.

Bill....You and you staff, keep up the great work

The catalog probably states somewhere that they are not liable for being held to specs or prices that are misprints. It's a pretty standard thing in the printing business.

But this points to exactly what you said about good customer service - Bill didn't have to do anything for you and yet, he did.

You are right Tom. He didn't have to do a thing except say he was sorry for the missprint. But Bill did. It was with my great appriciation that I accepted his offer. I should be able to make up the diff. on this rod.

Darn that Bill, he's making it so difficult to buy anything but a Batson blank/product :)
