I hear alot about Rainshadow. Anyone have experiance with their RX8 4pc 9' blank in 8, 9, 10 wts for salt water.
My favorite, so far and by far, are Dan Craft',s 9' FT blanks overlined one line wt, I like a blank that has a soft, fast tip that firms up fast into the 2nd section of the blank, with a very firm butt. The CTS blanks that I have (Maxim 9wt & Affinity S 7wt, are too soft in the mid-section for me. Re: RX8 action, finish, fit,

Try the RX8+. I have built a few and had better casters than I try them. On the 9 wt all got into backing without realizing it. It also worked very well with an 8wt line, but did not like a 10wt. at all. Quality wise it is surpassed by none, and is made in the USA, a plus in my book. If you have questions about their products call Batson directly and you WILL get honest, helpful advise, not a sales pitch. They are truly a first class operation.
