A while back i was given a box full of what i assume to be surf rod guides. They are all metal wire and resemble a snake type guide except for the wire has a double, or completed circle twist to it. They are somewhat flexible and show no signs of rust or corrosion from years of sitting around. The largest of them measures approximately 50mm and they drop in size to about 6mm.
Does anyone know what type guides these are? Who makes/made them? Are they "old school" or still being used today? Can they be found anywhere on the internet or in a catalog? Any info would be appreciated. I'd like to know what I have! Thanks Rog Re: Please help me ID these guides!

Sounds like a 'foulproof' guide. They are still around today. Re: Please help me ID these guides!

They have a pic in Merrick's online catalogue.......sound like "foul-proof" spinning guides. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
