You can learn Japanese all you want, but it won't help you read those pages. Not sure what it is, but not jap for sure

It's in the Merrick catalog! You can get a Jet,Turncrafter and probably others for considerably less money. Looks like it has limitations. Doesn't appear to have an available bed extension, which I think is very important if you plan or boring out grips, etc.

That looks exactly like my Wilton 99177 Mini Lathe, but a different color. I got mine about a year ago at Menards for less than $100. It is pretty good for cork. It is not the same quality as the Jet. But it is not near the cost either. I am happy with it, but I know it has limits.

Funny, it is my understandiing that Jet and Wilton are one in the same company, maybe 2 different divisions. I have both lathes, (couldn't pass up the one at Menards for $85) both do the job. I haven't seen any accessories for the Wilton lathe?

That's a Proxxon from Germany. I own it and it's reasonably good for EVa & Cork work. Have yet to try turning wood. The aluminum mandrels are not too accurate .

What you are seeing I dont believe is Japanese. However, when you open the web site and scroll down to the bottom and double click on the very bottom of the three, then right click and you should have a choice to import to EXcel. If you do the import, there will be some english and japanese break out data on the lathe.

Obviously this is a Nippon Company but that script and printing at the top is not Japanese!
Looks more like Greek or the alphabet used by thr Russians and Serbs.
