Triangular EVA grip

There was a recent thread on the triangular fore grips with very favorable reports. Has anyone used them for the rear grip also?? I'm considering using them on a new rainshadow trolling/downrigger blank. Any reason not to use them for the whole grip? Or for that matter, any reason TO use them???

Make sure they fit into a Rodholder before you go glueing it up. I havent' tried them, but would love to do a grip inlay in one as it would be a pleasure to have a flar surface to inlay into.

Triangle grips are made to fit your hand. Since your hand does not grasp the rear grip, I'm not sure why it would be used. Also since most rod holders are round I would think that the point of the trinagle would get tore up pretty quickly.

Or simply reverse the rear grip by having the flat side down...forward grip flat side up. A little ying & yang action.

Sure glad that I asked!! Didn't even think about the fact that the rear grip will have little hand contact anyway. Thanks! Sur wish these came in colors instead of just black

A triangular rear grip might be easier to get out of the round rod holders
as there would be less contact inside the holder and less friction.

Just a thought

Can't you use a belt sander to shape block EVA if your looking for color?
