Anyone here using any printer, ink-jet, laser or otherwise, to create your own rod decal. I am looking for such a printer and any recommendation on name, model and brand of printer will be very helpful.

Do a search on here for " ALPS ". The Alps printer is used by alot of builders as a dedicated decal machine.

Anthony,
I use both an Alps and a HP 2210 for my decals. I like the Alps for metallic decals and the HP for full color. Just my preference, they both work very well. Using high quality water transfer decal paper is very important too. Randy.

I just ordered some decal material from www.@#$%& (soponsor on left). Will try it out. I did not think I needed Putter's DVD. Reasonable price with very reasonable shipping.

Thank you Jay and Randy.

I will look at both. Not sure whether Alps is available here.

By the way, which brand of stickers should I buy. Mark (@#$%&), can you help me source this and add this to my order, whatever the minimum quatitiy requirement is.

Appreciate all your help.

Hi Folks,

in my mind decal printing is one of the trickiest things in rodbuilding and thats why I have a question too. Is the HP 2210 printing in white color and what can I do to get an complete unvisibel decal paper with no visibel edges. Is it depending of the paper or the time the decal have to be in the water before apliinng?

Thanks for your minds

Regards Mike
