Does anybody know who might have the Rainshadow SU 1265 blanks in stock?
Thank you, Walter Re: Rainshadow su1265 blank wanted

That blank in their new catalog shows they discontinued that one so you will have to see if any of the suppliers have that one in their inventory at all? I am sorry to say I don't have that one in my warehouse at all either. Good Luck in finding it.

Did that blank ever exist? I have heard people mention it in an assumption that Rainshadow made it because Allstar used to, but I don't think it ever existed as a Rainshadow. Re: Rainshadow su1265 blank wanted

There is a noticable gap between the SU1264 and the SU1266. A 1265 that split the difference would be an interesting plugging rod. Re: Rainshadow su1265 blank wanted

Thanks folks,
My thought is the same as your bob, I think it would make a good plugging rod for 1.5 oz sliders and big pencils. However, I think Josh might be right about that blank ever being made, as I was also thinking about the Allstar blank, which may now be impossible to find. I may have to go up to the 1266. CTS Enterprises in New Bedford Massachusetts had one last Allstar 1265 surf blank available two weeks ago. Re: Rainshadow su1265 blank wanted

Walter, I throw 2 ounces 90% of the time. I have tried just about every major rod brand that is available and some that are long discontinued. The Rainshadow 1266 is as close to perfection for 2 ounces as there is. The folks I fish with say "Here comes the guy with the rocket!" Re: Rainshadow su1265 blank wanted

Josh,
I took a drive down to CMS in New Bedford and found that somebody had called them that day to put the last 1265 on hold, paid in full, so I lost out on that one. Mr. Batson, Thank you. I will give you a call sometime this week. Bob, Thanks. CMS had the 1266 in one piece, which looked very good, but one piece is too unweildy for me to transport. I ended up going in a different direction than I had planned. I picked up the 1387-2 because I wanted to fill the hole that my 11"9" (1418) had, so that I can throw 2.5-3 easier. The 11.9 is very good at throwing 3oz. metal, but I wanted a little less weight to throw. Now I will still be looking for something to throw 1-2 oz. All coventionally built. Thanks, Walter Re: Rainshadow su1265 blank wanted

Somebody else read my message as they have had 1265s in stock for years. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
