Slowest time of the year

Just looking for a little info. What, if any is the slowest time of the year, for building? It seems to have slowed down a bit for me. But that also goes along with the tackle shops here too. The weather has been soooooo hot!!!! Surface temp on the river sunday was 93deg. I believe that has made the fish a little lethargic.

July, August and September are traditionally the slowest times of the year for most of the rod building component supply dealers, which should indicate that fewer rods are being built and sold during that time period. It's a tough time of year - the heat, the high travel prices, kids getting ready to go back to school, vacations, etc. Things usually pick up in October.

Self imposed slow time:
October through December
February through April

I schedule builds around these months to accomodate the runs we get here in Ohio.

Busiest time of the year May through the end of September. Everyone wants a rod built in time for the fall.

I'm usually slower around January and February. COMPLETELY slammed right now. I anticipate getting caught up around late November/December. Then, it's break time for me. Randy.
