Hey guys, what's up. I wanted to ask a question about bamboo rod repair. About 2 years ago I bought a nice little bamboo fly rod at a local antique store. I love how it casts a pair of wet flies and its a sweet fly rod. It's 3 piece, I think orignally somewhere around 8 foot long. But last year I was having some fun casting with it in my yard. I was a bit careless and got a bit too close to the house on the backcast. The rod hit a roof eave and broke right at the male part of the uppermost ferrule on the rod( tip section) I lost the ferrule a few days later and haven't been able to find it since! I saw Anglers Workshop carries silver ferrule parts. So my question is, how do I measure the width of the fitting? Re: Bamboo Rod Repair?
