No... not a Permagloss question!!!!!

Yes, there's a zillion Permagloss questions already. But, I really thought I'd pick the brains of some more experienced people before I go and mess up a perfectly good rod.
Is it possible to easily apply a full coating or two of permagloss on completed rods (ie: over epoxy-finished thread wraps?) I've finished building my father an SCII spinning rod and have yet to give it to him. I like the black colour but it's a little dull, so I was thinking about wiping it with a coat or two of permagloss that I recently bought but wasn't sure if it was easily possible at this (finished) stage. I don't mind damping the action a bit on this rod, as he will just use it to troll flies. Re: No... not a Permagloss question!!!!!

It has been my experience, that it sticks to everything. I would take 400 grit paper and hit the wraps to knock off oil or other debris so the permagloss would stick. Should work fine.

Right. Might be easier to use a piece of Scotchbrite since you'll be working around some irregular surfaces with those guides and all.

Excellent! I'll practice a bit on some old rods first. Thanks guys! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
