I did a weave tonight using Sulky red and yellow thread and Madeira black thread as the background. When I put the CP on the weave the black color bled through. I am glad that it was not a very hard weave to do. Has anyone had that problem with Madeira black thread and Flex Coat CP? Re: Problem with thread color bleeding

Actually...No...And I use a lot of Madeira AND Flexcoat CP. Now wrapping light over dark is a bleep and the slightest inconsistancy in thread packing (my personal @#$%&) is going to stick out like a sore thumb but given your level of skill I would be far more likely to blame the thread. Any chance that the tread got contaminated with something that would effect the thread in such a way.

Ellis; Are you saying that the dye bled through or that you were able to see the black thread though the other thread on top? Was the Black Polyneon? Re: Problem with thread color bleeding

The dye bled through and it was a tight wrap. I think my problem was more with the Sulky thread after giving it more thought. When I put on the CP the threads in the weave became very loose. I have had that happen with thread that was not polyneon. I probably used Sulky in rayon. The spools are not marked. I have pulled all of the Sulky thread out of my stock. Last week I did a weave with all Madeira thread with no problem. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
