Hi, I'm currently working on my guide layout for my Dan Craft 9'6" 6wt SIG V. This will be my first time running all ceramic guides. I would like the option of running loop-to-loop connections, yet want to keep the tip section fairly light. Here's what I have so far:
(LVSG)12-10-(BLAG)8-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-T or (BLNAG)12-BLAG10-8-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-T Do these sound all right? I was hoping that someone familiar with this blank could get me pointed in the right direction. Another question I had was on the tip top. What is the most commonly used top to match the BLAG/LST style guide ...is it the BFAT/FST? I've used them, but for some reason it bugs me that the ring sits a little lower on the top(BFAT/FST) than on the same size fly guide(BLAG/LST). Has anyone else noticed this? And if so, would you sacrifice the weigt by going up a size to gain a little better line flow? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/06/2006 09:35PM by Ray Hartley. Re: Guide layout for FRSV9664

I like the first one, although both will certainly work well.
If you go with the first one, I'd use the SVSG for the 12 and the 10. ........... Re: Guide layout for FRSV9664

Hey Raymond,
I'll be moving up your general direction ( somewhere in between Marysville - Orland) before too long and I'd be happy to help you get started. Re: Guide layout for FRSV9664
