For an ~ 8-foot Telescoping Flipping Stick: Using 15 to 25lb test line; flipping 3/4 to 1-1/2 ounce baits in very heavy cover -

BATSON RainShadow (RS) & ForeCast (FC)
RS-RX7 & FC-RX6 Flipp'n Stick Blanks (IFS / FT):

ForeCast RX6 Flipp'n Stick Rod Blanks
• RX6 Standard Modulus (33 million), High Strain Rate graphite
• Magnum tapers for lifting power & ease of casting a variety of baits
• Clear Gloss finish
• 2 Year Limited Warranty

FC-RX6 Model #: "FT-90-5" ... 7'6" ... 1-T (Tel.) ... Clear Gloss
10-25 lb. ... 1/4 to 1-1/2 oz. ... 0.585" ... 6.5 / 64ths ...
Moderate-Fast ... Med-Heavy ... 3.20 oz. ... $41.47 - Add [FS4U]

RainShadow RX7 Flipp'n Stick Rod Blanks (Matte Clear)
• RX7 Intermediate Modulus (43 million), High Strain Rate graphite
• Magnum tapers for lifting power & ease of casting a variety of baits
• Limited Lifetime Warranty

RS-RX7 Model #: "IFT-90-5" ... 7'6" ... 1-T (Tel.) ... Matte Clear
10-25lb. ... 1/4 - 1-1/2 oz. ... 0.635" ... 7.0 / 64ths ...
Moderate-Fast ... Heavy ... 3.25 oz. ... $75.00 - Add [FS4U]

RS-RX7 Model #: "IFT-90-4" ... 7'6" ... 1 T (Tel.) ... Matte Clear
10-20 lb. ... 1/4 - 1 oz. ... 0.625" ... 6.5 / 64ths ...
Moderate-Fast ... Med-Heavy ... 3.10 oz. ... $70.00 - Add [FS4U]

If you can't find a rod blank whose lower Line & Lure Rating is high enough for you, then lopping off ~ 1" FROM THE ROD TIP may put a rod tip into the stiffness range that you seem to be seeking. If you knock off any more than one inch, do it in 1/2" increments, and check how you like it as you go along. Truncation Surgery usually voids any warranty. Any more than that, and you are on your own, so to speak. ... Enjoy ! ... -Cliff Hall, FL-USA

Albert -- Per your post asking for an "8" ft. telescopic flipping stick. The Batson Rainshadow blanks are fantastic flipping sticks, but are only 7-1/2 ft. If you specificly need a 8 ft blank that is telescopic, here are several to consider. Two models by St. Croix -- 4C80HMF -- Heavy Power -- Mod-Fast Action -- 14 to 30 lb. line -- 1/2-2 oz. lure range --- St. Croix -- 3C710HF ** This one only 7'-10" -- Heavy Power -- Fast Action -- 12 to 30 lb. line -- 1/2 - 2 oz. lure range. Lamiglas model IMC 966-T -- Heavy Power -- Fast Action -- 12 to 30 lb. line -- 3/8 -2-1/2 oz lure range. We carry these blanks and would be glad to discuss any questions you may have about them. Give us a call at 931-684-6164.
