CP question

To all you Threadmaster users out there, what brand of CP do yall use. I am sure just about any will work, but which one have yall enjoyed the most success with in conjuction with Threadmaster finish. I have only built one rod and I used nothing but metalics on the guide wraps and diamond wraps, but my next one I plan on using nylon and don't want to experience any bleed through problems on my open diamond wrap with the other colors. Thanks in advance.

Gudebrod 811 seems to work best for me. Best color retention I've found.

I've used Both Flexcoat and U-40 ColorLok; no problem with either.

TJ - Be aware that the VISCOSITY of the Gudebrod 811 Color Preserver is NOTORIOUS for varying tremendously from bottle to bottle. If the viscosity is off, then usually it is TOO THICK. THINNING by 5-10% with De-Natured Alcohol added in small amounts (several drops) at a time usually works. Mix well as you add portions of alcohol. -Cliff Hall

I had used Flex Coat for years and then tried 811, I have been using 811 since.

Also a great product is Aero Gloss , which you can find in the hobby shop. But this finish is HOT STUFF. I use it on silks to maintain colors in my bamboo work, when an exact color is a must.

Tight lines to all ~ ~ <*)))))><
