I'm also after a copy of this book, but unfortunately it seems to be a bit of collectors items these days due to it being out of print and therefore the prices people want for it is absolutely crazy.

Having said that, because it is out of print, why does someone not just simply scan the book and publish it via a PDF file? I can't see how it affects Dale or anyone selling the book.

I actually want the book for the information it contains, not to sit to sit on my shelf thinking I can sell it for exhorbitant amounts of money.

You can't simply copy and distribute copyrighted information. That's highly illegal. And, it's terribly unfair to the person who owns the rights to the book.

The book is going to be reprinted. The high fees now being charged will be tempered by large amount when that happens. I can't give you any more details than this at the moment, but it wouldn't surprise me if we see another run of the book next year.

If you go in to search and look for the book you well see . Some guys are tring to make akilling on the price. I purchased my book a free yrs. back I think I paid around 30 bucks. I hyeard or read some people are asking as high as 90 bucks.

If Billy V's "booklet" is any indication of the full book that he is working on, it will be a much better, more useful book.

I'd suggest you just wait for Billy V to get his book available for sale. You'll get clear thread art info if his initial wrap "booklet" is any indication.

I know Gudebrod now own the rights to advanced custom rod building and are planning a reprint very soon. I have a spare copy of custom rod thread art brand new and still in plastic I brought after I searched for 3 months for it. I was going to keep it seeing the trouble I had finding it. I did not get it very cheap but than again I did not pay what some people had been asking for it even though it was not cheap in australia even when it was common it see it in a book shop. If someone really has there heart set on it email me and we can work something out at least it will be getting some use and not just gathering dust regards
