Reel seat ?

Hi All,
I am having a hard time finding the reel seat I want. The blank is about .750 at the reel seat. I am using American tackle Titans and would like the hood to match or close. My question is can you bore the reel seat to fit? The rod will be for rockcod/lingcod fishing 7' spirial (Acid) wraped. If someone knows of a reel seat that would fit what I want I am all ears.
Thanks for your help
Jack

REEL SEAT Size Conversion:
0.750" x 25.400 = 19.05 MM
Use a 20MM or 22MM ( ID ) Reel Seat.

American Tackle "Deluxe Graphite Spinning Reel Seat"
STAINLESS STEEL HOODS: CRSD-20/22 - ~$6
TITANIUM-CHROME HOODS: CRSD-20T/22T - ~$12
per MUDHOLE 2006 CATALOG, page 90.

In general, reaming out the inner barrel of a graphite reel seat is not advised. Get and use the correct size ID to begin with. Weakening the body-barrel wall or getting the wall too thin at the inside of the ALIGNMENT GROOVE SLOT for the SLIDING HOOD is too much of a possibility, IMO. ... -Cliff Hall+++

OK I got an E-Mail today from Mud Hole and the reel seat they say to use is a Fuji DPSM-22, It is listed as a spinning reel seat is that right for this rod? If I use a spinning reel seat CRSD-22T Does it mater which way the treads go? up-down-front-back?
Thanks Jack

Jack Goodwin - I would go with your preference on this one - Get the AmTackCorp Ti-Chrome hoods, and go with ATC's "CRSD-22T" for $12.50. The corrosion resistance of the hoods will now match that of the Titan Guides you are using, and will last as long as the guide's resistance to corrosion. And it should have the right shade of grey-silver color to more closely match your Titan guides.

The Fuji DPSM-22 is a fine reel seat, but no sense in saving $5 on an economy reel seat when the rest of the rod and guides are all top-end components. ...

Maybe MudHole is out-of-stock right now on the AmTack CRSD-22T, and their recommendation of the Fuji is an attempt to avoid a back-order. ... Who knows? ... I'd not let a O-o-S or a B-O mess up my components matching !!! ... They can double-ship if they have to; or Pick & Hold the rest of the Order until they are ready to ship the complete order; or "drop-ship" (?) the CRSD-22T DIRECTLY TO YOU from AmTack Mfg.

Most fishers would prefer to have the threads on the reel seat facing down toward the BUTT cap for a spinning rod. Most fishers would prefer the threads toward the rod tip for a casting reel. This all can depend on how YOU like to hold the rod & reel when fishing. Whatever works for your style, Jack. ... Enjoy! ... -Cliff Hall+++

Thank you very much,
I will find a CRSD-22T as I think that will be best.
