Rod Blank Identification help

Hi All,
I've come across a couple blanks I'm trying to Identify for a customer.

One is a 6 1/2ft, graphite, 1pc, fast action, with the numbers R-1G MBC 784
#6 tip and .550 butt
and has a rootbeer finish very similar to a Sevier tiger-eye. I'm sure this is a
Mag Bass Casting blank but have no clue of the Mfg'r.

Checked several sponsor lists and catalogs but cant find the R-1(or i)G designations.

The other is a glass, 1pc, 6', fast , gloss black finish, 7.5 tip , .808 butt with the
numbers PC6601L

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Raymond Adams

Hey Ray,

The pc6601L i beleive might be St.croix premeir casting rod.Not reel certain but possible.I came across a old St. coix rod from 1968 and still in pretty good shape. It is the type where the rod actually comes out of the reel seet.

Thanks Kenny,
This blanks has a butt diameter of almost an inch though.
A bit large for that application unless yours was cut down
I think?

Ray,
Mud Hole sold a similar root beer blank for a while, I built several bass rods on it. Good blank.
