I am looking at building three poles for one customer. He would like them the same but in different colors. I am looking at the DHX blanks by Graphite USA model B70M. I believe that you can get these in different different colors. Has anyone used these and what were your thoughts on the blanks. Is the color painted on do the scratch etc. Thanks to all for any help

They're simply finished in different colors but all with the same process. CTS blanks are also available in wide variety of colors. Same process, different color. They are all just as durable as their clear gloss counterparts.

Their paintjobs hold up really well, as do all manufacturers. That is a popular blank for a variety of uses, from FW to Inshore SW fishing.

I'm building a GUSA rod right now for a customer in oxblood red. The color is awesome and looks no different (in terms of finish quality) than any other blank. Very impressed with it. Randy.

I have my first 'painted' GUSA DHX on hand now, but have yet to build it. I'm no help on durability, but the finish is as good as their standard clear gloss. The one I have is the Teal color...much more bluish teal than green (not much ((if any)) green in it at all). Very nice color...and my girlfriend is going to love it IF I ever get around to putting it together!
