Color difference between AmTak Titaniums and Fuji Titaniums

Hello out there,

it seems that I have to combine the AmTak Titanium Guides (NIC, as strippers in #20 and #16) with a Fuji Titanium Tip top (TFST) or Titanium coated Tip top (ICFST) because Fuji does not have a low stripping guide in #20 / Titanium or Titanium coated.

Is there anybody out there who has experiences with the colors of the mentioned frames or who can tell me how big is the difference in color between the mentioned fram materials? If possible it should look identical in regard of the color. What about the color of the AmTak SS Tip Tops which are (acc to their info) looking the same in regard of the frame color.

Photo woudl be great.

Yr. 2 cents please.

RGDS,
Ole

The Amtacks are a good bit lighter than the Fuji's, which tend to be more greyish.

The SS tops match the Amtack guides ok, cause their titanium is a lighter color.

It would take a very close observer to tell the difference in color. Most fishermen either do not notice or do not care - they are after the durability of the frames in saltwater or the light weight construction.

If it is for salt I would use the Fuji Ti top

The ICFST and the TFST are two very different colors/looks. The ICFST does not match the Fuji Ti framed guides... not even close. The ICFST is almost the color of Gudebrod Pewter metallic thread, it has that bronze look to it. (still not sure why they call that thread color pewter)

I believe the chrome is even closer in color to Ti than the ICFST. (at least you can tone the shine down in chrome)

Does Am Tack, Pac Bay or Batson stii make a guide with a TiCH coated frame and ceramic ring that come close? One of my 10 wts have some guides that are close to the Fujis, I think they were Batsons, but not 100% positive. Getting them from Dan Craft makes me think they were.
