I am interested in learning how to do these types of wraps and am looking for any advice or guidence in how to get started. If there is some one in the Olympia south sound area of Washington who knows how to do these wraps and is willing to teach me for some sort of trade (like fresh clams and oysters). That would be the best since I am tend to learn best by watching some one. Thanks for any help any one can give me
John

Get a copy of VisualWrap, and a copy of Billy Vivona's book. These will both help you get started.

For detailed instructions to create diamond or chevron wraps, I would highly recommend reading Tom Kirkman's "Rod-Building Guide" book. Doesn't get any easier than this - complete with step-by-step photos.

Certainly check the directory on this site and see if any other builders are in your local area. Most would be happy to meet with you and walk you through the basic steps.
