burnishing metalic threads

when doing underwraps with metalic thread , would it be proper to burnish it as you would nylon? thanks Re: burnishing metalic threads

Cliff is right here. Burnishing can often make rub lines that destroy the beauty of working with metallics. I usually stop several times during the wrap to pack a little at a time so it isnt so much to do all at the end. Re: burnishing metalic threads

thanks guys, the metalic seems to pack real well and thats why I really did not want to burnish if not necessary. thanks for advice. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
