Re: How much finish do you mix , in what, for what?

...using adapta-caps and syringes, I usually mix 5ml total using a small metal spatula, in a plastic dosage cup for a couple minutes. I then pour the mix onto aluminum foil and hold it just under my 50W halogen desk lamp to release any remaining bubbles. (Most of the time, just blowing through a straw or short piece of rod blank helps to initially "de-bubble" the mix too.)

Never any more than 3cc's of each and usually less. Mix with a spatula in a plastic cup (get em' by the hundred at WalMart) apply with the spatula from the same cup.

I do up 1 1/2 cc of each using syringes, for a most rods a little more if I am doing a longer rod. I stir with end of a brush, but maybe after reading here I will try a spatula type of thing.

3cc of each product in same syringe's, every mix.

Mix with new popsicle stick

Use new pill cup to mix in

After mixing I pour onto aluminum foil

Apply with cheapo brush

After finish is applied, I wipe off syringe's with a paper towel torn into two parts (one for each syringe) and lightly soaked in alcohol. Then I wrap a piece of tape around the lower 1/2 of each syringe to "seal" the end of the syringe, put them back in original plastic pack they came in and tape them to the finish bottle of your choice.

Are we the only ones in the world who use 1/2 and 1 teaspoon stainless steel measuring spoons and graduated mixing cups? We would get arrested for possession if you had syringes in our shops?

Bill, I used them for a long time, but once I tried the syringes and no longer had anything to clean up. I got rid of them. I do however still mix in a stainless 1/4 cup measuring cup.
