Pictures...What am I missing Here?

When I registered in the photo section, it said it would send an email to my email address...none was ever sent. So I logged in anyways...It says I logged in succesfully...but I see no place to actually post the pics. How do you post a pic there?...and If I never got the email upon registering, Is this keeping me from seeing the "post photo" options?

Thanks, Jeff

The email was definitely sent. If you have any sort of spam or junk mail blocker, they will keep it from reaching you.

If you don't respond to it, your account will not be activated.

Often you have to reload your page in order to see the upload photos selection. Your computer keeps an older image of the page in the browser cache.

My guess is it's aol...I have seen this before on other forums where if you have aol...they tell you that the automated email confirmation is not just caught in your spam filter...but Aol's adware and spyware is nixing it.

Jeff, can you kill AOL's ad/spyware feature. It really @#$%&. Try Adaware Try a yahoo address just for that type of stuff
I would have a real problem with anything on my computer taht makes decisions for me and decides what I can receive/see for me. At the very least, it should tell you and let you make the choice.

If it doesn't come from aol, aol doesn't want you to get it. AOL/NO!!! Ralph

If at first you don't succeed, go fishing, then try, try again.

That is true. I've sent photos to my brothers who are on AOL and while they get them, AOL scrambles the identification code so that they can't open the photos simply by clicking on them. They have to enter a photo editing or viewing program and manually open the photos from there.

If you have a relative that could do the validation for you, use their email address when registering on the photo page. You'd only need it that one time anyway.

Tom,
I registered for a free hotmail email account and presto...it worked...Perhaps the "Read This Photo" pinned thread above should mention that AOL customers will have to use a free hotmail or yahoo email address in order to register since AOL obviously wont allow the auto generated verification email from the photo registration through. I agree that AOL is not forum friendly and its filtering systems for email @#$%&.

Atleast I now have a member gallery like the rest of you rod building addicted freaks!!! YES!!
