Spent 90 minutes thrashing air with my two 7 wts tonight......
Started with my 9 ft Dan Craft FT (this is the rod I used all winter for steelies)... Then went to my 9'6 Lamiglas Esprit...(which I retired in favor of the FT) Man...Did the 2nd rod take some getting used to...Well..I really never did. It just felt like a completely different animal....Not bad...but just way different. I know that shouldn't be surprising....two rods feeling so different......but yet, I'm always surprised... And I know that the CC data for these two rods is probably universes apart (especially considering the FT's are so unique....and great)... But, man...the casting strokes for these two rods are so dang different. The Esprit (which I quite liked when I used it...and I'm sure I would again) was supposed to be a very fast, light rod. Not side by side with the FT.....But I never did get a stroke for it tonight... I'm rambling...and going nowhere....Just commenting on the obvious, I suppose... All the same....Wow!
