Robert, that 1145 is a beauty. I finished mine saturday night and took 'er out for a test run on sunday. Using a Shimano Stradic 4000 and 8 lb Ande it really cast nicely. I did find that it likes top end of that range. In fact, it handled 2 oz easily and could easily go to 2 1/2, or even 3 with care. 1 ounce of lead was not enough to load the blank well. In all, it is a GREAT spanish buster for slinging light metal. Balance is great with the reel at 28 inches from the butt which is the right length for me.
