Rodbuilding Exposition Hotel Rooms

Well, according to the High Point, Radisson, we've already sold 150 rooms for next February's show. I'm a little uncertain about this, as we're still 11 months out and it seems unreasonable that so many rooms would have sold so quickly.

For those of you who have contacted me about not being able to get a room, please be patient. I'll check tomorrow and see if the rooms are in fact sold out, or if there has been some sort of mistake. Even if they have sold out, I can add another 60 to 75 to the reserved block.

I'll advise tomorrow. Worst case scenario, is that you'll have to book a room at one of the other hotels just a few blocks down the street.

I have 60 more rooms in reserve as of a few minutes ago. Again, I 'll call tomorrow and see what's going on.

You got the correct rate and that rate is in effect for the 15th, 16th, 17th and 18th. I just hope they've miscounted and that there are more rooms available than what they're telling me.

Steve, I asked. The rate is good for any or all of those dates I'd reserve quick! If something came up, you can always cancel (or sublet)

Any night or combination of those nights.

I should add that there are plenty more hotels in the area. Two very decent hotels are just 3 and 4 blocks respectively from the show facility. They are only about $50 per night I think, and both offer free parking and some sort of free continental breakfast. Atrium Inn and Econo Lodge. I didn't block any rooms nor get special rates for them - those are the regular rates and generally rooms are in good supply during February here in town. For those wishing something less than an $85 per night room (a great deal for the Radisson) these are the first two places I'd look. You can stil walk to the show facility if you wish - just 3 to 4 blocks.

Plenty more local hotels too. You can find several on the official show website. The Marriot Courtyard is about 2 miles north of the show site and is a very nice hotel that has already said they'll be happy to work with us if the Radisson sells out.

But, I have to believe that somebody at the Radisson has just made a mistake - I can't believe that many rooms would have sold out in just two weeks, being that we're still 11 months out. Few people plan that far ahead. At least I dont' think they do. Just give me 24 hours to straighten this out.

I'll check tomorrow and advise accordingly.

More rooms have been added and we should be okay for a few more weeks. Hopefully the initial rush is over.
