Forecast 6'6" 2 wt 2 piece or 4 piece?

Thanks to everyone who replied to:

A fellow teacher at our school wants to build a 6'6" to 7' 3wt fly rod. He will use it to fish small streams with 20' to 30' of line max. He wants something that won't break the bank. Med. fast or fast action. Any suggestions? If I looked on the CCS site what would Iook for?

There seems to be some feeling that the 4 piece is better than the 2 piece. Why?

Thanks

in my neck of the woods small streams are often remote involving a hike. four piece rods are so convenient and packable. i am not sure what is available in that size and line weight though. i took a three piece lamiglass fiberglass blank and converted it to six piece by installing more spigot ferruls. i can carry it in the back of my vest now. makes riding into one of my streams on my mountain bike very convenient. the rod casts and fishes great.

Hi Jim,

I have build several Batson 6'6" 2 wgt 2pc rods (F662-2 blank) and they make a sweet small stream rod. A 2 pc vs a 4 pc is personal desision. If you don't need to stow it a backpack or other small enclosure a 2 pc would be ok.
