Dura Coat Paint on Reel Seats

Has anyone tried spray painting Dura Coat on reel seat? A co worker uses it on some of his guns and it is a really strong flexible coating. I was wondering if it would hinder tightening screwing down the hood.

I put the flex coat arbores in the seat first. Then put it on a lath and sand the threads down a little to make the nut fit loosely. This way any material that is put over will have room and the nut fits well. Just enough to cover it. I then put a coat of permagloss on. At least on the threads for durability.

Yep, graphite reel seat. I sand down the threads first or the nut will be very hard to turn with all the extra material on them That's spin and cast ??
