I really need to build one more fly rod-I think!!
8 1/2 ft 4 or 5 wt. CC 63-66 action angle. I like the austin BAF864 but don't think it's available or no data on the SLi, any suggestions would be appreciated, mega thanks to all, Stan. Re: fly rod suggestion

Stan,
I have built rods using the forecast, rainshadow RX7, and St. Croix SCIII blanks. I believe each one fits what your looking for. I'm in the process of building a St. Croix 8 1/2 ft. 5wt 4piece. The new color is much nicer than the old one and it fits what you are looking for as far as ccs data. Good luck. Joe Re: fly rod suggestion

Dan Craft's new FTL might work for you. I haven't fished one yet but if they're anything like his other blanks... Scott Kinney The Longest Cast Fly Rods [www.thelongestcast.com] Re: fly rod suggestion

Stan,
I did cast the new FTL at a Sportsman's show this past winter - I don't know the Austin blank you list, but the the FTL is an incredible rod. I think it was an 8.5' 4wt, and was dead accurate at about 50 ft into a moderate wind. V ery smooth, medium-fast. Wayne Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
