Mudhole green guides?

Hi
Has anyone used the green framed guides from Mudhole? Have you had any problems with the green fading or wearing off?

I have a customer that wishes to use these on a float rod but I have never used them and was wondering on durability.

Thank you.

Rolly,
These are pretty new so I don't think you'll get much response as far as testimonials. I won't go so far as to sign my life away on these, but I am confident enough in today's technology to say that I don't think that they will be any less durable than any other guide frame finish on the market, not counting titanium.

Have built 2 rods with these , one for myself and one for a customer. They look great and so far so good , no wear showing and color is holding well.

I have built two rods for myself with the green guides. Have a lot of comments about the looks of them but havent used the rod enough yet to say what they will look like after some use.

I've built a couple of small freshwater spinning rods with both the red and green guides. I used them for about 6 months now with no signs yet of the finish coming off. Randy.

Hi Rolly! I built a spinning rod with them when they 1st came out. The finish is coming of several of them already. I always used fuji before but wanted something a little flashy. They looked real nice for a while but I expect they're going to be very ugly in a couple years. The rings are very thick also so I think they would be a lot heavier than say an Alconite guide. I didn't weigh them though. I personally will never use them again.
Chris
