I have read Tom's book and FAQ section and did a search, but have a real quick question:
I have blank where the end of foregrip is 0.8 (ID) and with the length on want it goes down to 0.64 inches (ID). This being said, it was mentioned on larger diameter grips (I am assuming 0.5 and above) it will stretch 1.2 to 1.5 its Inner Diameter. So if I use a 14inch grip with an ID of 0.5, I will have to stretch it beyond 1.5 times and if I use the next size up, (11/16) the front of the foregrip will be smaller than the hypolon (0.64 versus 0.69). Should I stick with 0.5 and push hard or opt for the larger diameter 11/16 and compress it in?? Maybe I am thinking too much... Ernie Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/19/2006 05:54PM by Tom Kirkman. If you'll apply your adhesive to the correct place, it won't take much "pushing" effort to get it into place. You can fit a slightly oversized piece by shimming with thread or cord, spiralled up the blank.

Tom,
Are you saying to go with the 0.5 inch? thanks Ernie Re: hypolon Grips..again..

I guess I'm saying to do whatever you feel is easier. Hypanlon stretches easily if you put the adhesive in the right place. But if you can get a piece that is only slightly larger, a wind of D thread might be easier for you.

How about buying both? Instal one, cut it off, then instal teh other. Then you'll know which one to use next time? Re: hypolon Grips..again..
