Wooden casting handles

I would like to know how to make the wooden casting handles that I have seen here on the photo page. where do you get these real seats and how do you cut the wood out for the real seat? Is there a patttern for this cut out?

Larry , you may also want to check out Classic Custom Wood in the sponcer column on this page . I had Ray make a couple of handles for me , they are works of art . If I remember right , Ray had some instructional down loads available for some of his stuff . Have Fun , John , NERBS

Last time I checked, there was a tutorial on that web site for Classic Custom Wood.
My hats off to Ray for providing that very good tutorial so you can make it yourself
instead of buying from him. Some people don't have much business sence! LOL!!

Larry,
You're looking at the Fuji IPS reelseats. You can get various non-wood Fuji offerings and some others for that seat from the Merrick catalog also. If you have to buy retail, you can get Merrick stuff from some of the sponsors to the left. Summer Moon comes to mind.
