Kenny, wrap a single foot fly guide, say a BLAG #6, for a tip. With a 'Forhan Locking Wrap' it will do what you need done and look good. If I knew a better answer to your question, I'd tell you. Ralph If at first you don't succeed, go fishing, then try, try again. Re: micro/ultralight tip top..

Kenny,
Neal's carries the Sevier line of guides and the light spinning guides go down the a 4 mm ring and a 3.5 tube size, in black, chrome or gold frames. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/20/2006 12:01AM by Spencer Phipps. Re: micro/ultralight tip top..

KEN,
I have made guides & tips from 308SS welding rod, put the rod around a shaft of the ring dia. you want, make 1 1/2 turns , with some needle nose be tag ends of wire to fit top and bottom of blank, cut tag ends to length, tap them alittle to flatten slightly, tapper ends so your wraps wind up the feet smoothly, bend your new ring to position you want, polish inside with fine paper or Scotch-Brit . , finished. Dave von Doehren PRRODS......If man built it , man can fix it.and if man built it man can break it ! Re: micro/ultralight tip top..

Wonder why someone doesn't make small tops for these? I've needed some myself.

I Googled a picture of one of those rods, the quality of the digital picture was poor. Doesn't the tip top look like the Pac Bay MT ceramic fly tip top? Re: micro/ultralight tip top..

i checked out those pac bay guides also..you would think there would be somthing somewhere as they were made for these rods.. the guide frames look like ss. with some sort of metal pressed around them for a ring.i just took some fine sand paper and rounded the square edges of the frame ring.it's a little thin and may cause a problem with cutting my line but it looks like it might work for trout...
