If I use Permagloss and no CP on the Scarlet/Black, will I retain the variegation or will it all blur? I like the way red threads with no CP go really deep colors. Re: Gudebrod Classic Twist with Permaglos and no CP

Put two sections on a piece of scrap blank. Use CP on one and none on the other. See if " you " like it
Bring it outside in the sun and look at it Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/14/2006 11:48AM by bill boettcher. Re: Gudebrod Classic Twist with Permaglos and no CP

it will not look good (at leaset to my eye) this tread needs cp to look right. without cp it will take on a kind of cross hatch look and it just isn't pretty.
i have used all of the classic twist colors from gudbrod and they go best with cp. i really like the yellow and black. it comes out a kind of emerald green. Re: Gudebrod Classic Twist with Permaglos and no CP

i did a test wrap on a blank piece using black and white classic twist last year. the CP side looked great, very sharp contrast. the side without color preserver was much darker and subtle. it still looked nice, just very different. this was on a dark grey blank piece.

I guess I am following Doc Ski's phiosophy........I use CP with multiple coats on everything. Well maybe not everything but nearly......Since I started using so much CP I seem to get a brighter pretty rod......just my opinion........
