I am looking at a Thomas and Thomas Horizon blank, a 905. Can anyone share info about the action, any opinions, etc.,

It's by far my favorite T & T rod series. Nice on big water and windy conditions, easy to make some pretty nice loops with, does pretty well in close with same line. Angler's Workshop had some 5 wt 2 piece Horizons on sale, didn't notice any 4 piece models, but there may be some. Re: Thomas and Thomas Blank

I'm building a 9wt Horizon II. It's a very powerful rod with plenty of backbone. The blanks had the spine marked and great guide spacing info. The T&T Helix is a softer rod and cast very well. If you can't handle the Horizon II then go for the Helix. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
