I just glued up a handle assembly and was wondering how long to leave it in the clamp. The instructions says that it should be dry in 4 hours but to leave it set for 24 hours before handling. Could I leave the rod in the clamps for a few hours and then remove? Not sure if the corks will seperate or not. Re: flex coat rod building epoxy?

it will probably be dry to touch, but it will probably reach it's full strength in 24 or less.don't rush when building, and don't take any shortcuts.it takes longer to straighten out a mistake.relax and enjoy.thanks joe Re: flex coat rod building epoxy?

If it is 1 hour epoxy I would leave it overnight. I use 5 minute and remove it in about 30 minutes. Its on the Lathe in an hour. Re: flex coat rod building epoxy?

I suggest leaving it at least over night. It is easier to live with inpatients then regrets!
