You mean Madeira? He He. That might help with the search. I've only used nylon, Gudebrod or Angler's. Re: Maranda Thread Question

HAnk - I tried that Super Twist stuff and hated it. Putter said he has used it for guide wraps and loves it. To each his own - only way you'll know if you like it is if you buy it and try it. Re: Maranda Thread Question

I didn't like the fact that it fisheyes, but love the fact that the buried tie-off thread is totally invisible because of the 'twisted' nature of the thread.
I have to sit with the finish until it's nearly set up and drag finish back into the fisheyed areas and then give it a bit of heat to get a a smooth coverage without using CP, and that I don't like, but I've done it many times and have gotten a good finish job by doing this each time. Randy give this a shot - one coat of Permaglos. I put a coat on one of my wraps, no fisheyes. The other half of the wrap I put regular epoxy on fisheyed like normal. I have NOT tried subsequent coats of PG, nor epoxy over teh Pg, so I do not know if it will fisheye after that initial coat. Re: Maranda Thread Question
