Due to a unique set of circumstances, I was greatly rewarded for attending the Nat'l Rod Builder's Show. I talked with Bob Tignor (FishSticks$U) on Saturday and he was very, very high on Batson's RX8 rods. I have not yet built on a newer Batson blank.

Saturday, at the Rod Maker Magazine reception, I had the first number drawn and it was.............a 5-piece, 908-RX8 with kit. In Wyoming, there is not much call for an 8-wt. flyrod, so I stopped by the Batson booth on Sunday and they graciously allowed me to trade the blank for a 5-piece, 905-RX8.

I thank Batson and all the others who generously provided door prizes at the reception. There were so many prizes that my wife (who never wins anything) was able to come home with Putter's instructional CD/DVD materials won at the reception.

Thanks again to all who made it a wonderful experience for us.

The folks at Batson have been with us since the very first year and their presence and display only grows larger each year. I have never had any doubt that any of their customers will receive nothing less than first class treatment, every time, all the time.
