I just wanted to say "Thank you" to the manufacturers and distributors as well as the rod builders who had active demonstrations & shared their time so freely everyone really make this event "special" for me. It truely was my pleasure to leave money behind with Emily Dear, Andy Renzetti, Fishstix 4U, Bob McKamey, Swampland Rods etc. It was also extremely valuable to sit in on the very well presented seminars and even more so to have an opportunity to speak with the owners of the companies who provide us with our materials , Bill Batson, Joe Meehan, "the Trondak boys" , Tim Campbell of Swifty , Anglers Resource, Bob Lee of Pac Bay.
Thank you one and all for a very, very special event. Count me in for next year now. Re: Thank you.

Todd,
The handle is on - 11" butt section made up of exotic burl cork from Andy Dear; cork butt end cap from Bob McKamey; Pac Bay channel lock reel seat ( I really wanted to use a black tube/blue double nut design from Batson but none are available down in the 16-18mm tube); American Tackle guides (gunsmoke / blue rings) are all ground & the optical chevron butt wrap is layed out. Now all I have to do is "git 'er done" . That is one really , really fine Lamiglas blank (and I still don't really want to cut and ferrule it). Re: Thank you.

Thank you Ken Preston,
I thought I was the only rod builder that needed masking tape to start a wrap. Also I was under the impression that wnen you did the twisted threat wrap that you used a continuous piece of the two colors. Thank you Billy V. and Putter for being out of Ken's hair so he could show me how he works miricales with thread! And for all of you that missed Ken's "experiment" with the Swifty stuff you will have to waid=t untill next year to see Ken's results! Tom, You have got to get the dust out of the place to conduct experiments! Rod Building is both an Art and a Science! Ed Smith Re: Thank you.

That Diamondite "experiment" turned out great. I was standing there talking with Ken when Tim came over to take a gander. He was even impressed and learned something about his product for improvements. Bill in WV Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
