I was looking at some rod blanks that are for sale and it says first run blanks on the tag. What does first run blanks mean? Do they have some sort of flaw that is not visible to the eye or some sort of a blemish or breaking possibility?

Normally, first run product does not require a tag proclaiming it as being such. If the blanks are in a poly bag, with header card and a label or decal inside the bag as well, they should be assumed to be first quality product.
I have no idea what blanks or company you're dealing with so there is not much of any way to be sure exactly what you're looking at there. .......... Re: First Run Blanks
