Sliding rings

Please point me in the right direction: I need sliding rings to add to my own turned ultra light cork grip/reelseat combo. It would also be great if the supplier had a recessed hood available too. I'm looking for the hardware only not the insert or as a kit with an insert.

Thanks,

Domenic Federico

Domenic, Rush River Rods has some aluminum slide rings not listed on their site. Very inexpensive. They have never made a recessed hood, though. I have never found a set like you describe. Cortland makes an aluminum cap and ring.

i found the mudhole slip rings arre nice looking.i got the two smaller sizes and the small size fits a ultra light reel foot nice but the cork ends up having a very small od.the medium size is kind of too big for a ultra light reel foot.it is a tad loose.it does have a good size od on the cork..i ended up going with the metal ones after spending way too long on the first two attempts.

Thank you all for the assistance!

I checked out a few vendors and I am still searching for ones that I feel fit what I am constructing.

Thanks,
Domenic Federico

Custom Tackle Supply has Struble nickel silver slip rings (fly) in silver & black. Nice rings. Ralph

If at first you don't succeed, go fishing, then try, try again.
