Concept SYSTEM, too many Guides?

I just need your help or confirmation on using the concept system on a 6ft UL rod. This is the first one I've done on a 6 footer. I have done it on longer rods and liked the results. When I got through and done the Static test I had 7 guides altogether. Does that seem like too many? The spacing from the tip measured 4 7/8, 10, 15, 20,25 1/2, 32 3/4 and 41 3/4 inches. The guide sizes from the tip were four #6's (with one of the 6's as the intersect guide), #10, #16 and #25. The butt guide measured 18 1/2 inches from the face of the reel spool. As I mentioned everything looked good with the static test. I've just never used this many guides on a 6 footer before. Let me know if I did something wrong. Its hard to change old ways but I'm for improvement. Thats what custom rod building is all about, right?

That's pretty reasonable although on that rod, I would be personally inclined to go with a 20 10 and the rest 6 fly type guides. See what your static shows though

I can't comment on your spacing or sizes since I don't have your reel and blank in front of me, but 7 guides plus tip sounds like a reasonable number.

My rule of thumb is for every foot of rod I well have a guide to start out with. Then after doing a static test, I may add an extra guide or takeaway a guide. You have at least three variables to work with #1 the reel you well are using #2 they style and sizes of the guides you well are using. There is also #four the weight and action of the blank to consider
