came to me in a dream "wrapping up a foregrip"

I was getting frustrated trying to make a quick turn around at the base of the rod with a cork foregrip......threads wanted to slip around in the 3/4" space at the base of the rod infront of the foregrip, and wrapping up the foregrip is even more of a hassle due to the thread rising off the rod.......then it came to me when i was fast asleep........i had some small zip ties from an radio controll car in my garage(about 1/16" wide and 3" long) i simple put one of them at each axis with the tag end on the axis and trimmed accordingly. now i had a nice anchor point for my thread going up and down the rod......no double stick tape, thread slippage, etc.....it allows the wrap to stay in place at the foregrip and therefore much cleaner. dont know if i saw this somewhere or it was divine intervention, just thought i would share...................

The threads shouldn't be slipping around in that area. Make 1 or 2 turns around the blank before wrapping Up.

ouch sod tie raps the fbi use them as handcuffs they can do a LOT of damage to a thin blank if pulled to tight also a bit of a problem cutting them off.. better off as billy says wrap two or three turns on rod then start the wrap run
