Am I asking for trouble if I attempt to bond a small spinner blade directly to the rod blank just above the fore grip on a spinning rod? Similar to a feather inlay, then epoxy coated. The risk I see is that the rod may flex and the metal spinner blade won't.

Being small and only on one side, rather than completely surrounding the blank, the very worst that would likely happen is some cracking of the finish. Similar to a guide foot. Unless you have a lot of flex in that area though, even that is pretty remote. Neat idea. Go for it. Re: Spinner Blade Inlay

If you are concerned about metal to blank contact, why not a thin underwrap to protect the blank? Re: Spinner Blade Inlay

You could also inlay it in the foregrip; that would show it well and there'd be no problems on down the line. Putter Williston, ND Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
