guys i just startet using two pound test on my pull through loop it helps especially
with metallics and second i was ending up with black swirls in my wrap epoxy after drying could not figure it out untill i got a flame to close today and the whole wrap turnded to swirl black mess, tip keep the flame back thanks dan

Keep any flame off to the side or several inches under the wrap. You're only trying to slightly warm the finish which momentarily thins it and expands the bubbles for easier release.

Best thing to do if you do soot your wrap finish, is just take a finger and wipe it completely off. Let stand for a day and then recoat.

I remember a while back when I'd switched to using a headband magnifier and tried to use a lighter off to the side of wraps to warm the finish; my depth perception was WAY off not being used to the magnifier and had problems with this. I just flip it up and don't look through it anymore while doing some tasks. LOL!!

You might also try switching to an alcohol lamp. Less chance of getting soot if you get a bit too close.

I switched to a craft heat gun as seen in Ken Prestons videos. Works great and no soot. You can pick them up at any craft store. Cost about $20.
