On my next rod I am going to try and use the leather wrap forgrip. I want it to have the tapered look as it meets the blank, Do I use a piece of cork and shape it so that it tapers into the blank then cover it with thread and finish?
Thanks for your help!! Re: Tapered leather forgrip?

I have just used a cork foregrip shaped with the thickness of the cork tape lbeing subtracted.
Apply the cork tape and secure with a thread wrap and epoxy coating. I've had no problems. I don't think it would hurt to wrap the complete grip and finish, but I don't think it is neccsary. Larry Tysinger Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
