I am in the process of building a stand-up rod to handle up to about 60 lbs of drag.
Is it OK to use a ferrule cement or would it be better to use 5-minute epoxy? Thanks. Re: tip roller help

Expoxy is what I use. If you need to replace or repair the roller , just heat up the roller tip with a torch it comes off easy.

Either will work but I would use the epoxy as it's just much easier to work with. You can get it down inside the tube top so much easier.
Most times if you need to replace a roller you can just replace the roller wheel itself anyway. And heat will still break the bond of most 5 minute epoxies. Re: tip roller help

Thanks. Is there a time that you would use the cement sticks? Re: tip roller help

For me its 5-minute all the time, every time.
