Recoil Guides

I'm putting together a 9' Steelhead casting rod and I want to try REC guides for the first time. I will start with 2 or 3 double foot. Should I switch to their spinning single foot guides for my final 8-9 #6 guides or stick with the double foot all the way up? With normal guides I would use almost all single foot guides.

Your rod, your choice, the REC Recoil guides are so light it will not matter much at all.
If it helps, I would go with the single foot after the first 2 but thats just me.

I built a 9' 8wt fly rod for steelhead fishing and used Recoil double foot striper guides and then single foots to the tip. The guides are light and the rod works well. If you're comfortable using single foots on a casting rod then go for it
